1. Data Controller
NetGuard (hereinafter "we", "us" or "NetGuard") is the data controller for the processing of your personal data. You can reach us at info@netguard.be.
2. What data do we collect?
We collect the following personal data when you fill in our contact form or contact us by email:
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Phone number (if provided)
- Company name (if provided)
- The content of your message
When you use the free EASM scan at /scan and request the full report, we additionally collect: the domain name you submitted, the scan results, your email address, your company name (if provided), and your choice on the two consent checkboxes.
3. Purpose of processing
We process your data solely for the following purposes:
- Answering your question or request
- Following up on a quote or service agreement
- Communication in the context of our services
- Delivering the full EASM scan report by email, and — only if you separately opted in — following up on the scan results
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) when submitting the contact form or requesting a scan report, and on the performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) for existing client relationships.
5. Retention period
We retain your personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected — maximum 2 years after last contact for one-off enquiries. Data collected via the free EASM scan (domain name, scan results, email address, company name) is retained for a maximum of 12 months, unless it leads to a client relationship.
6. Your rights
As a data subject, you have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object. To exercise these rights, email info@netguard.be.
7. Complaints
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (GBA) at gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
8. Changes
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy. The most recent version is always available on our website.
